Time

Well, the era has ended.

Thanks for being so open and forgiving and just so gosh darn lovable, Flops. I'm sorry for being fickle and emotional and not strong enough to prevent some damage.

I'm about to set out on a new adventure in Japan. Wish me luck, everybody. Since my blog is so highly read, of course

Here's to old times and great memories.

Of Dreams...

I rarely remember my dreams/nightmares and these ones were noteworthy, so here we are.

1. Most of the males from my improv troupe were in my brain. I woke up at 6:30 a.m. and was most confuzzled as to why they were there. Of course, I know this is something to remember, so I tell myself five billion times to remember that I dreamt about them, pull the covers back over me, curl up and go to sleep. I remember nothing else of the dream. Well, aside from the thought that there was no romantic interlude, nothing truly violent... just yeah. Maybe our show tonight is affecting my sleep.

2. This one is more tricky. I woke up for the last time with it in my head, and the thought that I had dream #1. Nothing else, but I do know it was some big adventure thing with either actors or anime characters in real life or people I know. Beyond that, it's more tricky. But we were just about to figure something out when I woke up and realized I should stay up this time...

Yeah. That's about all of it.

And um, um...

There's an IMPROV SHOW at 7:30 tonight at the ELC (aka the UPC, I've heard) at University and University and it should be fun, even though I'm only in one game that's not a group game...and we don't have group t-shirts ready yet, but we should have them sometime early next week. We better have them or else I'm making someone mail it to me in Japan. Grrr. And... yeah.

Remember, Happy Pirates is cheap as free! And fun besides the occassional beating sessions between our less...skilled members. At least we all agreed never to have them alone in a game anymore. Yeesh.

P.S. Thanks for the hammock yesterday, Flops. And the drive to Wendy's. Twas fun! And good for my stomach, even if I ended up eating too much frosty...

Randomness

So Flops says I never post. And well, he's mostly right. Except when he's wrong. Which would be like now.

Mostly I have too much to do, going to Japan soon and...yeah. I like livejournal better. So NYA!

P.S. I like this picture too much. Heh. Show on Friday. Huzzah!

Announcement

...and it came to pass that the sun came out.

And all rejoiced.

Huzzah for t-shirts and sunshine and warm weather! And new clothes, too.

That is all.

Randomness of an Idle Thursday Night

Today was...interesting. Pretty much nothing went according to plans. Let's give you a few examples, hm?

1. The one class I managed to make it to was cancelled as only one of us was done with the reading. Huh. Go figure. (Only have 100 pages left!)

2. Tried to get my taxes done by the nice BYU accountant students, but discovered I need to do this form online first. I hate this. *sighs*

3. Didn't manage to make it to the forum that Ki made it to. It was on "The Moral Universe of Martial Arts Cinema" and I was totally pumped for it, then forgot that the univerty library's "auditorium" was on the first floor, not in the back. But I had fun talking to 9-Fingers and basically goofing off with his wireless.

4. Work was mostly okay, didn't have much to do, but I left at my usual time. Just started later than usual, because I was busy missing the forum... I give up. (On a side note, I think I walked by some of Ki's students getting out of class.)

5. Came home and tried to do homework. Well, thought about it. Played around with my computer even more. 9-Fingers was over here for like...6 hours or so yesterday just toying with my poor, old laptop. Got me normal word (THANK THE HEAVENS! *kills Microsoft Works Word Processor*), fixed things here and there, etc. Still don't know how it took that long... But I converted some of my word files *cough*shadesones*cough* to .doc instead of .wps and am not looking forward to doing it to the rest of them. Oh well, labor of love?

6. BUT! I finally got tired of not being caught up on my Naruto manga, so I went and downloaded what I've been missing. Still haven't read any of it (I was on like, 270ish?), but I think I saw some spoilers as I checked to make sure the pages downloaded correctly. *can't wait to read soon*

7. Had fun at Pirates improv. Didn't have to flirt mercilessly with sweaty-boy and watched possibly the funniest rendition of "Mumbles" ever.

Here's the explanation, in case you're curious. If not? Skip till you see a number again.

You take an activity, (while the guesser is out of hearing range) and replace two of the usual items with suggestions from the audience. The more random, the better. Best part and source of the game's title? You can only communicate with gestures and sound effects or mumbling. I love this game. Some of today's juicy choices?

A. My roommate Uffish got to be one of the actors and did the activity of playing Racquetball, but instead of a racket, you're using swordfish. And instead of a ball? A kidney. The squelching sounds...oh man. And to make this one even harder? They made one of the "actors" be Helen Keller. Try picturing her playing racquetball.

B. I was the guesser in this one. I much prefer the acting, though this was a very fun experience as well. It took me a bit to realize what the activity was, but the objects were pretty easy. Renting a video (I kept thinking there a vending machine in there somewhere) but instead of a video? You're renting a goat. And instead of money to rent the said goat/video? A couch. And to make this even better, I have a pretty good rendition of a goat. Can't do a sheep for the life of me, no matter how many years I've had them pestering me next door.

And for the best one of the night...

C. Take the normal sport of weight lifting and replace the weights with corpses and the spotter with Abe Lincoln? You have this great rendition. One of the actors was Flops and he's been doing improv a whole lot longer than me. I don't think I can ever forget him as a corpse...let alone one being a weight. And, and...*shuts up*

Either way, I love improv! Mostly...being in it and knowing the people.

8. Half-listened to the end of "Muppet Treasure Island" as roommates and 9-Fingers were watching it. Was busy converting my word files then. *dances* I have Word!!!! Sorry. Calm now.

9. Reading for my Creative Class is a story I've read far too many times. "A&P" is great, but...again? So I didn't have to do any homework tonight...though I should've done some American Lit. But it's already 1:30 a.m.

I'm off! Hope you were amused. Or...something.
